Founded in 1961, Ady Endre High School (also known as Kisvárda SZC Csengeri Ady Endre Technikum és Kollégium) offers a wide range of academic and vocational programs for students ages 14 to 20. Located in the northeastern corner of Hungary, near the Romanian-Ukrainian border, the school addresses significant social challenges in the region by providing vital support to disadvantaged students. Its mission is to equip young people with the skills needed to overcome societal inequalities through education.
The school’s philosophy centers on the belief that every student, regardless of their circumstances, can succeed with the right support. Over the years, Ady Endre High School has transformed from a modest secondary education institution into a dynamic hub for vocational, technical, and adult education. In response to regional needs, the school has introduced training programs in areas such as shoemaking, law enforcement, and culinary arts.
Beyond academics, the school offers dormitory accommodations and a variety of extracurricular programs designed to enhance social awareness and motivation. It also prioritizes students’ mental and emotional well-being through counseling services. Additionally, the institution fosters strong partnerships with national and international organizations to provide students with a competitive and enriching educational experience.
